2017 Beach Program

Pegasus is proud to announce the second year of our beach volleyball program starting in May. Playing beach volleyball is important for athlete development for several reasons. Firstly, athletes become more complete volleyball players because the game forces everybody to execute all skills to be successful. Secondly, there are only two athletes for a large amount of court space. This makes people move faster and take more responsibility of the court which are important aspects of indoor volleyball. Also by having only two athletes on the court everybody gets more touches to improve their game. The connection between you and your partner is critical to success and can lead to many great experiences off the court as well. Thirdly, running and jumping in the sand is significantly more difficult than on the gym court and will help athletes become more explosive when they return to indoor in September for club volleyball and school tryouts.

Save the Date, the End of Year Pegasus Banquet will be held at LCVI, Tuesday MAY 16th at 6:30 pm.
