Tournament Registration

Our first tournament is this UPCOMING SATURDAY, MAY 27 at Kingston Expert Tee's. To register, send an email with the athlete's name and their partner's name to 13KP42@queensu.ca.

The next tournament dates are June 24, July 22, and August 26. Keep your eyes peeled for the next chance to compete with your friends and win prizes!

Lines 458 and 459 – Children’s fitness tax credit You can claim up to a maximum of $500 per child, for eligible fees paid in 2016 for the cost of registration or membership for your or your spouse’s or common-law partner’s child in a prescribed program of physical activity. Note The children's fitness tax credit, including the supplement for children with disabilities, will be eliminated for 2017 and later tax years.

Queen's Summer Volleyball Camps

Volleyball - Fundamentals Camp (1 week) [AGE 10 - 14]
This five day camp will follow the Learning to Train principles of the Long Term Athlete Development Model. The program is designed for elementary school athletes (going into grades 6 through 8) who wish to learn fundamentals and develop a basic understanding of the game of volleyball. Groups will be co-ed and according to skill level. Programming includes skill development drills, game-oriented drills and the 'triple ball" format. Volleyball sessions will run from 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 3:30, so participants must be physically prepared for a full day of volleyball. Knee pads and court shoes are strongly recommended. Also includes a daily free swim session.

Volleyball - Player Development Camp (1 week) [AGE 13 - 18]
Our Player Development Camp will follow the Training to Train principles of the Long Term Athlete Development Model. This program is designed for high school athletes (going into grade 9 to 12) who have not had extensive training outside of the school system, this camp is for athletes looking to refine their basic skills, improve their overall game, and develop a better understanding of basic systems and tactics. Programming may vary between co-ed and single gender sessions, and will involve training with athletes of the same skill level.Also includes a daily free swim.

Volleyball - Men's Elite Weekly Training [AGE 16 ]
Athletes who participate in these training sessions will receive high intensity/high demand training. A significant focus will be placed on technical improvements, along with tactical development in a competitive setting. These sessions are designed to target male athletes in and after grade 11 and 12, who aspire to challenge at the next level.
Athletes will have the opportunity to work alongside Queen's Varsity Athletes and Coaches, who will also provide assistance in the program delivery. These programs, which will follow the Learning to Compete principles of the Long Term Athlete Development Model are specifically designed to be great preparation for your club tryouts, college or university selections, or simply to take it up a notch.

Providing a fun and energetic environment to learn and play in, this co-ed camp for children aged 8 - 13 will be led by members of the Gaels varsity volleyball and basketball teams. It combines half a day of basketball and half a day of volleyball where campers will be introduced to the FUNdamentals of both sports
Also includes a daily free swim session.

Aug 28-31 (Mon-Thurs) - Total Volleyball

TOTAL Volleyball is pleased to announce its fifth annual summer volleyball camp.  The goal of the camp is to prepare athletes for their elementary, high school, or club seasons.  Each camper will receive one on one instruction from knowledgeable coaches and a camp t-shirt.  Sessions will end with game play where athletes will apply the individual skills taught in team play.

 

Junior/Senior Camp Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability.

Entering Gr. 8-11 as of Sept. 2017

Cost: $100 (Includes Camp T-Shirt)

Pegasus Volleyball Club - From the club consititution

Pegasus Volleyball Club (The Club) is a non-profit, community-based organization that provides developmental and competitive volleyball opportunities for youth in the Kingston area. The Club strives to provide high level opportunities for qualified boys and girls, ages 12 to 21 to further develop, train and compete in the Ontario Volleyball system. The Club operates in an athlete-centered environment, where the long term development and needs of the athlete are balanced against the competitive requirements of the OVA and VC.
