The club has purchased some coaching
resources that can be borrowed from our Club President Cliff Woods on a one week basis.
These DVD's or CD ROMS are not meant to be the only
way we teach and coach volleyball but are an excellent resource to
assist our coaches. Clearly there are other resources and coaching
styles that would be equally beneficial. Over time we hope to build
this library to include other programs.
Interactive Volleyball (CD ROM Format)
From Volleyball Canada
Interactive CD that will assist in planning drills for specific
skills and situations.
- The Interactive Volleyball CD-ROM
provides an interactive experience for all who use it. The CD-ROM
provides users with background and introductory information on the
basics of volleyball and the optimum strategies for preparing
practices and lessons, and for teaching and coaching volleyball
players. In addition, the CD-ROM contains a database of many
different drills, and a practice/lesson planner that allows you to
effectively plan your practices and lessons while ensuring that
you have allotted time to cover your stated objectives.

taken the NCAA crown, due in large part to the technically sound
play of his athletes in all facets of the game. This DVD series has
been created specifically for volleyball players to provide a
resource that shows and clearly details how a volleyball player can
improve in all aspects of the game! This series is also an excellent
addition to any coaches library as it provides a series of drill
progressions that Dunning uses with all of his players
15 Drills
for Training Transition (DVD Format)
Mike Hebert, University of Minnesota
- Using game
footage, Hebert illustrates the six most common "transition
moments" in volleyball. These transition moments include: Defense
to offense, defensive base to defensive read, serve reception to
attack, serve to defensive base, coverage to attack, and chaos to
order. Next he demonstrates drills to teach your players how to
react in each of these situations, where to position themselves on
the court, and what footwork you want them to use to get to their
positions
